What we do, and
what we don't.

Dating apps make a lot of safety promises. Here is exactly what VibeLove does, stated plainly, so you can decide for yourself.

What we do

A person reviews every sign-up

New profiles don't go live automatically. Someone reads each one first, and the ones that don't hold up don't get in. This is the main reason the community stays small.

Report and block, on every conversation

You can report or block anyone from inside the chat. Blocking is immediate and mutual — the other person can't see you or reach you again.

Scam screening (being switched on)

We built automatic screening for the usual romance-scam patterns — asking for money, pushing you off the app, manufactured urgency. It is not switched on yet, so today reports are what reaches us. When it is on, screening only flags for a human; it never replies for you.

Location data stripped from photos

Photos you upload have their EXIF metadata removed, including GPS coordinates. Your home address doesn't travel inside a picture.

Delete your account for real

One button in your profile deletes your account, your photos, your matches and your messages. It is not a deactivation that keeps everything on a shelf.

Encrypted in transit

Everything between your phone and our servers travels over HTTPS. See the section below for what that does not mean.

What we don't do

We'd rather tell you this than let you assume it.

— Your messages are not end-to-end encrypted. They are stored on our servers and our scam screening reads them. If you need a conversation nobody but the two of you can ever read, this is not the place for it.
— We do not verify legal identity. Review means a person looked at the profile and judged it real. It is not a background check, and it is not an ID check.
— There is no round-the-clock moderation team. We are small. Reports are read by a person, but not within minutes at 3am.

Meeting someone: the short version

— Never send money. Not a loan, not a plane ticket, not a customs fee, not crypto. Someone you have not met asking for money is a scam essentially every time, no matter how good the reason sounds.
— Be slow to move off the app. Scammers push hard to get you onto another chat app early, where nothing is screened.
— Meet in public the first few times, and get there and home on your own.
— Tell someone where you're going and when you expect to be back.
— A video call before meeting is the cheapest way to confirm someone is who their photos say.
— Trust the feeling. You never owe anyone an explanation for leaving.
